Amy and I cruised up I-40 to the White Horse in Black Mountain to see Kim Weitkamp, Michael Reno Harrell, Ron Shuffler, and Patrick Crouch put on the second-ever performance of "The Ballad of Ronnie Calloway," a folk opera.

Before the show, the light in the hall was very good. I mean, there wasn't a lot of it, but what there was was excellent.
