Pueblo Bonito, from the Windy Heights

When Park Service employees and a geophysicist specializing in the
measurement and control of vibrations surveyed the great houses
to see what needed to be done to protect them from such threats
as the drumming of passing traffic on park roads, I tagged along.
I hoped to make some photographs from unusual angles while a
dozen trained eyes made sure I didn't step anywhere that would
cause the very sorts of damage they meant to prevent.
